i-DAT 210 – Layer Tennis

I recently discovered a game called Layer Tennis (www.layertennis.com)

Two competitors will swap a file back and forth in real-time, adding to and embellishing the work. Each artist gets fifteen minutes to complete a “volley” and then we post it to the site live. A third participant, a writer, provides play-by-play commentary on the action, as it happens. A match lasts for ten volleys and when it’s complete, Season Ticket Holders tell us what they think and we’ll declare a winner, so sign up today.

New Projects

I hate making posts without images, this post might be fairly boring. I just want to sum up my new projects:

i-DAT 204Augmented Reality - To create a system such that no user CANNOT tell the difference between the real world and the virtual augmentation of it.

i-DAT 205Wild Futures Game - Wild Futures would like you to develop a video game that can be marketed virally via social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace, email and other distribution channels.

i-DAT 209GPS – Either scroll down or click here.

i-DAT 210Open Brief – Set a practical project, with a open brief. This will involve an online game, I have a few ideas I will post shortly.

i-DAT 211Interactive Learning – To design a interactive learning game for children, this will involve another website. 20 minute presentation.

Soft232 Java Game – Create a Java based game in pairs.

Looks like I have my work cut out for the next few months.
